A l’issue de la représentation d’une pièce de théâtre, on découvre que l’un des comédiens a été assassiné. Plus étonnant, après le meurtre, plutôt que de s’enfuir, le meurtrier a endossé le costume de singe du comédien pour jouer son rôle dans la pièce. Un premier meurtre qui sera suivi d’une vague d’assassinats qui touche de très près Cesar Charron, comédien et meneur d’une troupe de théâtre dont le passé a déjà été émaillé d’un effroyable assassinat à coup de hache !
